At Home- Weekend

How is everyone holding up? I needed this weekend! Let’s recap what happened on Friday during Bear in the Morning…….
So while broadcasting from home, I am using our remote broadcast equipment, which uses a WIFI signal. That signal was not working well on Friday morning which is why you heard Hannah do the Birthday Club, Wicked Smart, etc. Huge thanks to Hannah. I was able to get the remote unit working, but instead of broadcasting from the dining room, I ended up in a different room in the house. Yes. That is me broadcasting from our laundry room. Hopefully I will be back in the dining room tomorrow morning and back in the Bear Country 95.3 studios on Monday April 6th.

My family has done a good job practicing our social distancing, but this weekend we had to break out. We ended up taking an easy hike to Pulpit Falls here in Winchester. Pulpit Falls has been a spot I have been looking forward to exploring for quite some time. It is a great spot and I encourage you to check it out. Since it looks like our kids will be home until May 4th, I am going to try to plan a different hike each Saturday. So far, Connor and Amelia like the idea. Happy distancing everyone. Wash your hands. -Kevin

Robert De Niro delivers Lincoln’s civility warning at a Carnegie Hall benefit

Fresh

Robert De Niro walked onto Carnegie Hall's stage Tuesday night, unannounced and to loud applause. He didn't make any speeches, at least none of his own. After a career defined by playing gangsters, an avenging taxi driver and a paranoid prize fighter, the Oscar-winning actor recited a call for civility, as first spoken by Abraham Lincoln.
