How I spent my holiday break in eight photos.

How I spent my holiday break in eight photos.

It is good to be back! New month, new year, yada yada yada. I don’t know about you but I pretty much feel the same and am thankful to be healthy along with most of my family and friends.

That drive up to Christmas is trying on everyone and throw Covid into the mix, I think a lot of people were just plan exhausted by Christmas Eve. Even our dog Abby.

Does she look exhausted or perhaps embarrassed that our family dresses her up in Christmas jammies?

You may remember that the weather on Christmas Day was horrible. No company or family came over that day and it gave the four of us time to enjoy gifts that Santa brought.

This was a popular one. Our family got anĀ Oculus! Do you or your family have one? I have not had much of an opportunity to use it yet but I am looking forward to it. Virtual reality, baby!

This was my favorite gift.

This schoolhouse clock hung at my parents house for years. My parents gave it to me, broken. I have always loved it and Ann took it to a clock fixer who got it running again and polished it up for me. It gongs on the hour and half hour and drives everyone in the house crazy, but I love it.

I took this photo the day after Christmas at Ann’s parents house in Harrisville, NH. The sun was setting and the ice was hanging onto the trees. I even caught the woodpecker at the birdfeeder. I don’t think I have ever taken a better photo.

My Mom and Dad were able to visit last week. It was good to see them and while they were here they enjoyed some game time with us and their grandkids. Apples to Apples seems to confuse Mom in this photo. Dad is just trying to understand it.

They were good sports.

Christmas break would not be complete without attending a tree-burning gathering.

or installing a new faucet in the bathroom.

And it also would not be complete without setting some goals for the next year. I am not going to divulge mine here but I will say that I would like to do something simple in the new year. Drink more water.

Which is why I was thrilled when a coworker got me this as a secret Santa gift. According to my weight, I should be drinking at least a gallon of water a day. The line at Good Morning represents one gallon. So far I am doing well, drinking a gallon almost every day since last week. I have also been making many trips to the bathroom. TMI?

Happy New Year everyone! I look forward to a great year. -Kevin
