So, are you saying two thousand twenty-four or twenty twenty four? I was told this morning by my friend Jennifer that saying two thousand twenty-four is too much. I should drop the thousand.  I will work on that.

We stayed home on Christmas day which gave me the opportunity to bake a delicious ham. Here it is before it hit the oven.

Pineapple slices, crushed pineapple and brown sugar. And then two hours later….

Those are sweet potatoes on the grill. The combination with the baked ham was heavenly.

The day after Christmas we headed to New York. We stayed just outside the city and took the train in to check out some of the sights. There was a TON of people in the city. We really did not think this trip through. I knew it would be crowded but it was CROWDED. We spent so much time either being lost in a crowd or in a line.

This was the line to get into the Nintendo store.

We made it in.

This was the line to get a slice of pizza!

It was really good pizza though. Worth the line wait. Family approved. Prince Street Pizza in So-Ho. Check it out.

It was just a quick trip. We were back by Friday.

Home for a good old-fashioned tree-burning party.

Yesterday I ran the Sawmill River 10K in Montague. This has become a bit of a tradition on New Year’s Day. To my surprise I ran the course 45 seconds faster than last year. Getting older and getting better!

Here’s to 2024. Twenty twenty four.

But first, a nap.
