My long weekend in eight photos

Let’s hear it for three day weekends!

Fun for us started on Friday night when we attended Connor’s class play.

They performed the Canterbury Tales and everyone did a great job. Connor has been working hard on memorizing his lines and learning where to stand. He is already asking about the next performance.

The wacky weather lately had me gathering my supply of sap buckets and taps. I spent time this weekend hanging about 12 buckets. I plan on hanging about 12 more. (Yes, I have a small operation)

I love seeing this sight! Sugaring season. Spring is coming up around the corner. (Don’t look at the forecast for this Friday)

Yesterday, everyone in my house had the day off. Road trip!

We headed into Boston to the Museum of Fine Arts. I went to Emerson College and 25 years ago (gulp) you could get in free to the MFA with a college ID. It is a little bit pricier today. No matter, it is worth the money and we were able to file it as an educational experience for the kids. They were good troupers. They might not have realized the significance of some of the artwork, but it led to good conversation. Connor and I tried to figure out how they got some of the huge paintings into the somewhat small rooms. (We determined that they took the roof off and dropped them in)

One piece we were all impressed with was a Chihuly display. It was huge and green!

I can’t imagine installing something like this. This is the most breakable thing in the world! I was nervous just standing next to it. Is there insurance for something like this?

Sometimes you just need to stand in front of the art and breathe……

I hope you had a great weekend! I hope it was three days long too. -Kevin
