My Long Weekend in Six Photos

Let’s hear it for three-day weekends!

The kids had last Thursday and Friday off, so we took a quick trip to see my parents on Cape Cod. It wasn’t exactly beach weather, but we sit went to the bay side and I got a quick photo of my mom, the kids and Abby the dog.

In my parent’s town, they recently opened a dog park. We took Abby and she had the best time ever.

She met new friends, ran until she could run no more and left happy! This place was awesome. There was an acre of space for bigger dogs like Abby to run, frolic and sniff. And also, sometimes climb.

We got home on Saturday in time to catch some local music. Has anyone checked out Ask Wanda before? They were good!

Yesterday I ran the Black Birch 10 Mile race in Hatfield. I ran my average 10 minute mile and was happy about that. It was an out and back run with the first 5 miles being what they described as a gradual incline. Not exactly how I would describe it (more like mountain climbing in some spots) but it is done.

My next long run will be the Western Mass Mother’s Day Half Marathon in May. I’ve got some training to do before then!

I do believe it is starting to feel like spring around here.

Would you agree?

I hope you had a great weekend! -Kevin
