My (long) weekend in six photos.

Let’s hear it for the long weekend!

Today is Wednesday, but for me it feels like Monday after being out of the studio for the past two days plus most of the weekend.

Saturday morning I filled in for Jennifer on the Bear Swaps show.

I can talk on the radio. I can also write. But write and talk at the same time? Not so much! Jennifer is the Bear Swaps pro around these parts. Good thing I am a mere back up. Have you ever listened on Saturday mornings? You never know. You could score a great deal or sell some you thought was unsellable. Maybe you could swap something too from 8-10AM.

I spent a lot of time outside over the past couple of days. I am happy to say that the deck railing project is complete.

I even added some stairs to this side of the deck. (Which isn’t too far off the ground)

To review, the railing was built because we want to keep Abby contained and to restrict her from jumping off this side of the deck. Well……

Guess who can get through between the post and the house! Evidently I needed to place that post just a bit closer to the left. Right now a chair has been placed in front of that Abby-fitting gap. That will have to do for the time being.

New obsession at our house…..

Cornhole! Connor suddenly loves playing. We got a cheap set last year and had it out this weekend. The boy is pretty good. Maybe we should enter a tournament……

This weekend, my daughter celebrated her 10th birthday.

It is just amazing how quick these 10 years have gone by. It is amazing how much she has grown and approaches life these days. I am in awe of her. (Except when her attention is caught by some screen!) I love you Amelia!

I hope you had a great weekend! -Kevin

Looking to see the solar eclipse from North America? Here’s where and when to catch a sliver

Sorry, North America. After winning the cosmic lottery with a pair of coast-to-coast total solar eclipses, now it's Europe's turn. But look skyward anyway Wednesday and, if you're far enough north in the U.S. and Canada, you might savor a partial eclipse as the moon nibbles away at the sun.
