My weekend in 10 photos

I am a big fan of Father’s Day.  I have told the story many times before. My son Connor was born on the third Saturday in June. The next day was Father’s Day. Everyone came up to me saying Happy Father’s Day. Patting me on the back. It was overwhelming. I couldn’t believe I was a Dad. In some ways, I still can’t believe it almost 15 years later.

Anyways. I had a pretty good weekend doing a couple of “Dad” things.

On Friday Connor and Amelia came home from their last day of school and brought home the artwork they have been creating during the school year.

Connor asked me if I knew who this was. Yes, I do, buddy.

Saturday, I replaced the old, rotted ramp to the shed.

A friend has a sawmill and hooked me up with some hemlock that was perfect for the project.

I will find some time to put some water seal on, so I don’t have to replace it for a long while.

Saturday night I went to Monadnock Speedway and I am excited to report that I got to head to victory lane twice to congratulate drivers.

Right there in the center is Owen Zilinski who won the Mad Pups race. Owen is from Gill!

And here I am congratulating Owen’s older brother Zachary who came in 3rd in the Street Stock race. It was Zachary’s first 3rd place finish. Well done brothers!

Father’s Day began with a run.

And then it was breakfast out at the Arlington Inn.

I had carrot cake pancakes!

The rest of Father’s Day was spent puttering around. I was quite nice. Amelia and I also found time to go the driving range as I got ready for a golf tournament today.

I hope you had a good weekend too!
