I came across something peculiar at the grocery store.

A trash bag box with a hole in it so you can smell them.  I have questions.

Does anyone do this? Who came up with this idea? Do the grocery store workers laugh at customers who take a whiff?

I took a whiff…..at home.

it was fabuloso!

Much like my Thanksgiving weekend. We spent some time on Cape Cod at my parents on Thursday and Friday. Mom did an excellent job with dinner, and we took a nice walk after. The after-meal Thanksgiving walk is a tradition in of itself!

And then it was back to the house for dessert. Check out this spread!

Carrot cake with cream cheese frosting, apple crisp and pumpkin pie. Ann made the pumpkin pie and put sugared cranberries on top.

It is a bit of a tradition in our family to head to Snow’s Home and Garden on the day after Thanksgiving. It is a bit of a fancy store where everything is out of our price range. But they decorate the store for the holidays and put together train sets that attract families from all over. We have been bringing our kids for many years.

Connor doesn’t look too impressed here.

As I mentioned. The prices at this store are a bit out of our range….

Just can’t imagine spending eight grand on outdoor dining furniture…..

Of course, we brought Abby to the Cape. We made sure we stopped by the dog park.

Where she was happily chased by other dogs.

And we also hit the beach.

We got back late on Friday and spent most of the weekend catching up on housework, yardwork and family responsibilities.

I did have time to make a delicious Sunday breakfast. It doesn’t look too pretty but here we have banana bread French toast, bacon and black coffee. The breakfast of champions.
