My weekend in 8 photos

A lot of people are still on their weekend. Not me! That is OK. I packed a lot of fun into two days.

Actually I got this photo on Thursday and wanted to sneak it in. I am coaching Connor’s soccer team this year. Proud of this kid!

Saturday started off with a long walk with Abby. Instead of using a standard leash, I have been hooking a few together to give her a long lead. More sniffing time means a happier dog!

Saturday, the Hatfield Firefighters Association had their annual Bonfire. (So happy it is back this year!) Again this year they asked me to MC the event which gives me stage access and a unique viewpoint of the show.

The bands were excellent. 80HD and Trailer Trash were awesome and Holly Mae sang a great set.
And I made new friends!

On Sunday, I helped set up the qualifying spot for $5000k Giveaway. We were at the Duck Pond on the Mohawk Trail, which by the way is a very busy place on Columbus Day weekend!
The Duck Pond is just steps away from Hager’s Farm Market. They were making my favorite this weekend!

Fried dough with maple cream! This photo features my dough with a couple of bites in it. I got excited and forgot to grab a photo before stuffing it in my mouth.
All in all, not a bad weekend. I am looking forward to the next one!

Robert De Niro delivers Lincoln’s civility warning at a Carnegie Hall benefit

Robert De Niro walked onto Carnegie Hall's stage Tuesday night, unannounced and to loud applause. He didn't make any speeches, at least none of his own. After a career defined by playing gangsters, an avenging taxi driver and a paranoid prize fighter, the Oscar-winning actor recited a call for civility, as first spoken by Abraham Lincoln.
