My weekend in eight photos.

How does one fill up their weekends in January? At our house, many activities revolve around the temperature and weather conditions.

It was about 7 degrees when I woke up on Saturday. I guess we all had to expect the single numbers to arrive eventually.

Cold weather means keeping the house warm. This is where the heating process begins where I live.

The pile on the right is the one we are burning now. All red oak. Perfect for the coldest months of the winter. (Notice the stray tail at the bottom left!)

And right now the wood stove is going nonstop. This is about two/three days worth.

I have been taking Abby for long walks when the conditions are good. (They were on Saturday)

On Saturday night I made Mindy’s from Foster’s Supermarket  recipe! She mentioned this during Bear in the Morning on Friday.

The nacho chicken casserole got a thumbs up at our house. It contains Velvetta, which I have not purchased in a long time! We are not the biggest Velvetta family, but it worked well here. I will make this recipe again.

Saturday night was game night at our house. Have you ever played this one?

Simple card game that is fun for the whole family. It is the current hit in our household.

Sunday started with Connor’s first indoor soccer game for this session. I am coaching the team again. We got a win!

We were the home team.

The weather the rest of Sunday was not pleasant and led to some time on the computer, some football watching and some beer drinking. No photos available of those activities.

I hope you had a great weekend too! -Kevin
