My weekend in eight photos.

How was Thanksgiving?

It is my favorite holiday. And this year we were able to visit my parents and sister on Cape Cod. We left on the three-hour trip on Thanksgiving morning. Before we left, I spotted this guy out our window.

This is the biggest fox I have seen in the 16+ years I have lived in Winchester. Usually, I catch a glimpse of them running through the yard. This one stopped and sat for about five minutes before moving along. I suspect he or she has also noticed an abundance of rabbits in our neighborhood this year!

My Mom does a good job cooking the turkey. I don’t think she has any special method although this year she stuck an orange in it. Have you ever heard of that? I came out great. Juicy. Tasty.

It was a great meal, but our family is a big fan of deserts. This year my father had the task of cutting the pies…..

We brought Abby, who got to spend some time with my sister. My sister is great with dogs, and it took no time for Abby to declare that my sister is one of her new favorite humans.

Anyone else have World Cup Fever?

I don’t think I have ever been so worked up over a game that had no scoring! We watched the US/England matchup at my parents, and I am looking forward to tomorrows match against Iran.

We got home late on Friday. Saturday, some more family came over for dinner and a contentious game of Apples to Apples.

We play the Junior version, thank you very much!

Also, I did some outdoor decorating. For the first time ever, I wrapped a tree with lights.

Of course, the top half of the tree decided to not light up just as soon as I put the ladder away.

Looks more like a lit cactus!

I hope you had a good weekend!
