My weekend in five photos

Hey! What do you know, it is raining!

I got my vaccination on Friday. Flu shot too.

And proceeded to feel like c-r-a-p! Funny how these things work. Half my family was fine a day after the shots, half felt like poo. We are the 50/50 family! Seriously. I would advise if you are getting any vaccination, drink as much water as possible. That was Ann’s suggestion, and she was right. I felt a lot better, once I remembered to drink water!

On Saturday I had a live broadcast at Rustic Romance in Miller’s Falls.

I tell ya, Cindy over at Rustic Romance has knocked it out of the park again. If you want to get into the holiday spirit, head over to the store. While I was there, I noticed these candles.

Now I know they have been around for the longest time, but I think they are the neatest thing. Ann bought some a while back and placed them in our wood stove to create some nice ambiance without the real flame and fragrance. The ones Ann bought have a remote control!

My parents were in the Berkshires this weekend. My Mom snapped this photo of Dad.

It looks like he found the fixer-upper truck that he has been looking for! BTW. Aren’t those mums colorful? The ones we have are fading fast.

If you are heading through Winchester, NH, look for the scarecrows on Main Street.

They are running a contest on Halloween night. As the trick or treaters walk by, they can vote on their favorite. I like the Munster theme one here in the front.

I attended the Canine Keg Pull at the Outlaw Brewing Company on Saturday. The indoor soccer season started on Sunday. We spent another small fortune at the grocery store and I agreed to be the coach for the girls basketball team at Amelia’s school.

Just your typical weekend!

Looking to see the solar eclipse from North America? Here’s where and when to catch a sliver

Sorry, North America. After winning the cosmic lottery with a pair of coast-to-coast total solar eclipses, now it's Europe's turn. But look skyward anyway Wednesday and, if you're far enough north in the U.S. and Canada, you might savor a partial eclipse as the moon nibbles away at the sun.
