My weekend in five photos

There is only one photo containing snow in this post. Here it is….

Of course, my focus was on the cardinal that stopped by the suet feeder yesterday during the snowstorm. Some say cardinals that visit represent loved ones you have recently lost. There seem to be a lot of cardinals at our feeders lately.

On Saturday we went to the Keene State Women’s Basketball game.

Actually, it was a part of a field trip for Amelia. She is playing basketball at her school this winter and we thought it might be a good idea for her and the team to see how older players approach the game. Keene State has a good team with a coach who has been there since 1990! It was a close game and in the end the Owls pulled out a victory.

After the game we joined the rest of greater Cheshire County at the grocery store to pick up milk and bread to survive the storm. I brought in enough wood to fill the wood stove for a day or two.

Heating with wood is so messy. We have been doing this so long I really don’t know any different. It is a guarantee that our house will have an extra helping of dirt and dust in the wintertime.

On Sunday I made a quiche.

Ham, broccoli and cheddar cheese. It was heavenly!

I hope you had a good weekend!
