My weekend in five photos

My family is egg hunt crazy. Connor and Amelia love them and Ann always fills 100 eggs with candy. My kids are happy to report that that they participated in TWO Easter egg hunts this past weekend and they have enough candy to last until Halloween.

Yesterday we went and visited my aunt and cousin in Pittsfield. The weather yesterday was crazy! We took route 9 to Pittsfield and there was snow on the ground in Windsor. (When isn’t there snow on the ground in Windsor?) When we got to my Aunt’s house, we arrived in a sleet storm!

Crazy! Ann and Amelia did were not prepared for the winter weather. They were wearing their Easter dresses. I don’t think anyone was ready for the winter weather yesterday.

We ended up eating at theĀ Proprietor’s Lodge in Pittsfield. It is a nice spot on the shore of Lake Pontoosuc Lake with a great view of Mount Greylock. They had a huge brunch and we all ate too much. This includes Connor who discovered a new favorite food.

This is Connor after he stuffed himself with crepes! They were good along with everything else that was served. I had prime rib, ham, bacon, a crepe and a small salad. 18 hours later, I am still full.

The topic of heritage came up this weekend when I talked to my aunt. She was wearing a Ukrainian flag pin which reminded me of my Ukrainian heritage. My great grandparents immigrated from the Ukraine many, many years ago and I am slowly learning more about them. My father showed me a dress shirt that was once my great grandfather’s.

I hope you had a good weekend. Here is Abby waiting for the Easter egg hunt.
