My weekend in five photos. Cummington Fair!

I was lucky enough to attend BOTH demolition derbies at this past weekend’s Cummington Fair. Friday’s show had 26 cars. Saturday had 24. The photo above was from Saturday. Lots of demolition derby fans in attendance!

Friday night they had a VAN/SUV derby. Heidi Torres of Huntington did an awesome job taking home the big trophy! On Saturday Colrain’s Donnie Brown got the job done once again.

After the demos we walked down to the fair. It was time for the nickel-pitch tent!

I took every nickel I could find at our house. I couldn’t get one to land on the magic circle. Connor struck out too but a kind gentleman who won three times passed a big candy bar to my son. There is still generosity in this world.

And of course I could not leave the Cummington Fair without this…

These people are great. I got chocolate peanut butter fudge. So good! As I was leaving I said, “See you at the Franklin County Fair!” They said they were unsure if they would be at the Franklin County Fair in two weeks. I hope they make it!

Saturday night we got home in time to see Harrison Burton win his first NASCAR Cup race!

I was able to speak to Harrison a couple years ago during a phone interview. Super-nice guy. I am so happy for him!

I hope you had a good weekend! -Kevin
