No long weekend for me. Actually it was nice to come in on Friday morning and talk to people on Bear Country 95.3 about their Thanksgiving and what they were doing this weekend to get ready for the holidays. Our home is in holiday transition right now. Photos will be coming soon. Ann is working hard on decorating for her favorite time of year. We have not put up the trees yet. Yes I said TREES!
So on Saturday, our dog Abby got loose. Can somebody tell me why dogs love to rub themselves in gross things? Somewhere close to our house, there is something very disgusting (I am hoping it is not a dead animal) that Abby loves to get down on ground and rub all over. So while she was loose on Saturday, she got into something gross again, so into the bath she went.
Abby is not crazy about getting a bath. It is not a one person operation! This time it took two adults and a nine year old to prevent total chaos. Ann did most of the work this time.
In the end, we got a clean dog.
On Saturday afternoon I watched the one college football game that I consider a must-see. The Iron Bowl.
I generally hate everything Alabama and I have been rooting for Auburn in this yearly match-up since this incredible moment. What an ending!
There was no magical ending on Saturday night for Auburn as they lost in FOUR OT’s. Go Georgia in the title game coming up on Saturday!
Yesterday we left the house late in the day for an appointment. Amelia got her second vaccination shot!
We are so happy our household is now fully vaccinated. The pandemic may not be over, but we as a family are trying to do our part!
After the vaccination appointment we we went on a mission to find basketball sneakers for Connor. He is playing on the school team this winter. All I have been reading online is how basketball sneakers in stores are scarce this year for a myriad of reasons. There were three pairs left in the store and luckily the display pair was Connor’s size. Score!
I hope you had a good weekend with your friends and family! -Kevin
