My weekend in four photos

Warning. Three of the four photos are of food. I ate well again this weekend!

I didn’t talk about it much on Friday, but February 9th was National Pizza Day. We did our part in the celebration, and I made a sheet pan pizza that night. Aside from ordering out, I feel this is the best pizza to have. Buy the dough, sauce, cheese and toppings. It doesn’t take long to prepare; it is cheaper than frozen pizza and quality is good once you know what you are doing.

For the past two months I have been coaching Amelia’s basketball team at her school. Basketball is a new interest for her, and I am thrilled. On Saturday we participated in a tournament to close out the season. All the teams were better than ours but that did not discourage the team. It was a pleasure to coach a team with such a positive attitude and I am really excited for Amelia to continue playing sports.

On Sunday I made waffles for breakfast. I topped them with maple syrup and berries. It was so good! And of course, bacon just made breakfast even better.

Per tradition, Ann cooked last night. She does every time the Superbowl is on. I call it Ann Hates the Superbowl Chili. This might be the 15th edition of it, and it was as good as any of the other years. Here is a photo before consumption.

I stayed up until the start of the 4th quarter. It looks like I did not miss much since the Chiefs won in OT. So long football. I am ready for NASCAR and baseball.

I hope you had a good weekend!

Kevin
