My weekend in four photos

My friends, it is sugaring season. Before you put that delicious syrup on your pancakes, there is a lot of work to get that jug of syrup on your kitchen table.

Get ready to clean.

Most of the sap we boil is delivered to us and filled into these huge plastic containers, that need to be cleaned.

Get the wood ready, and the evaporator too.

Here is a photo of the setup for this year. There is a green tarp covering our evaporator. There is about a cord of dry pine at the center of the photo. And the totes that fill the evaporator are at the left.

We will be boiling soon, because the sap is running!

When I wasn’t thinking about sugaring season this weekend, I was thinking about running….

I am running a half-marathon on March 26th. Time to get ready!

I hope you had a great weekend! -Kevin
