My weekend in four photos- 50!

On Saturday I turned 50. I am thankful that I don’t feel fifty years old. I am thankful that many people tell me I don’t look 50 years old. I am thankful that at 50 years old, I am where I am in my life, and I am looking forward to the next 50!

Many people reached out to me to offer congratulations and happy birthday wishes. I was also offered many sweet treats that I ended up consuming throughout the weekend. I am going to have to add a couple more miles to my runs!

Cake #1

Thanks to Sharon here at the radio station for making this one which was cut into the day before my birthday. Actually, I shared this cake with my workmate Nick who celebrated his 60th birthday on Sunday. Happy birthday Nick!

Cake #2

This cake was bought by some friends of mine in Winchester. I participated in a town meeting on Saturday morning. When the meeting was scheduled about a month ago, I gave them a warning that the meeting day was my birthday and there had to be some acknowledgement!

Cupcakes

Check out these cupcakes (already half consumed) that Jennifer from the Bear Country 95.3 Bear Swaps show made me. She has known for a long time that peanut butter and chocolate is one of my favorite combinations. She hit it out of the park with these cupcakes. So good!

Cake #3

Get a load of this! Chocolate cake, buttercream icing and a caramel drizzle. After dinner on Saturday, our friends Geoff and Jeny treated my family to this delicious cake. So rich, moist and sweet. Perfect!

Three cakes and cupcakes for my birthday weekend!

I hope you had a good weekend too! -Kevin
