My weekend in four photos

Welcome to Monday. My first question is, do you remember Friday?

That is when we got all that wind and rain. Especially Friday night into Saturday. Well, first thing when I got home on Friday afternoon, I got out the ladder and checked one more item off my fall clean-up list.

Our gutters were FULL of leaves and clogged. I got them all cleaned out before the heavy wind and rain came and I am happy to say that even though close to an inch of rain fell at our house, us and the basement got through it fairly dry. Win!

Once it cleared up on Saturday, I was outside raking up more leaves. Some were raked into our fire pit. Let’s keep that our secret because I don’t think burning leaves  is allowed in town! I wasn’t too secretive on Saturday. I created quite the smoke show in the neighborhood.

Also, on Saturday I picked up our share at Picadilly Farm. Get a load of this big fella!

No, the one on the left. That is one big, sweet potato! The other guy in the photo is just plain sweet.

Sunday I was off to the Wendell State Forest for the Franklin County Regional Dog Shelter 9K Run for the K9’s. It was my third time running this race and I am happy to say I took one minute off last years’ time.

Western Mass News was there to report on the event I and I ended up in the story! You see me lumbering down the hill at the finish line. I like running. I DON’T like seeing photos or videos of me running. I am not built like a traditional runner and I resemble some type of monster if someone catches me on film at full sprint. Anyways, it was all good. Wendell State Forest is beautiful, even when it is raining in November. Plus, a lot of money was raised for the dogs!

I hope you had a great weekend!

Kevin
