My weekend in seven photos

My weekend in seven photos

It has been a nice week off. Not relaxing, but nice. I have been able to stay around home and put the final touches together for the Winchester Pickle Festival which was held this past Saturday in my town of Winchester, New Hampshire. Myself and a couple of other dedicated folks put this harvest event together on the fourth Saturday in September each year. And yes, it is all about the pickle!

Those who come receive free pickles from the Patriot Pickle Company. Early in the week I received an order of 24 five gallon buckets of pickles to feed the masses that descended on Winchester.

Volunteers passed them out all day on Saturday.

There were thousands of people in Winchester for the event. Even the New Hampshire TV Station WMUR stopped by and interviewed me about the event.

In fact, the TV station did a great job promoting the event. They even snatched a photo of my daughter Amelia from their website to use during their stories.

This was Amelia about five years ago. Time flies.

Saturday started early for me. This was 5AM in downtown Winchester.

And this was later in the day after we congratulated our Pickle Eating Contest winners. ‘

That is Mr. Pickle in the middle congratulating our winners. Yes, there is a Mr. Pickle.

These events are not easy to coordinate and I am lucky to have many people who help out before and during the event. Mark down your calendar for the 2023rd Winchester Pickle Festival on September 23rd. It will be our 25th event!

Today I covered the woodpiles.

The season is changing.

I hope you had a great weekend!

Kevin
