My weekend in seven photos

I am including some photos from Friday afternoon here. I was able to get out of the office early on Friday and enjoy being outside. I ended up at a spot with a beautiful view of Mount Monadnock.

The photos never do justice to witnessing the mountain in person.

During a walk in the woods, I caught this guy.

Do you see the face in the rock in-between the trees? He looks a little grumpy! Or maybe he is sleeping. I don’t know.

We got a new leash for Abby.

It is 50 feet long!

I have come to accept that Abby will never be the type of dog that I can let off a leash, aside from being in an enclosed area. This dog follows her nose everywhere! This long lead allows her to sniff here and there and run from one spot to the next as I keep walking. This way, we don’t struggle with a tight leash and our walks are much more enjoyable. I just have to make sure we don’t get tangled up in some obstacle.

We watched a lot of soccer on Saturday.

Connor and I watched the US lose to the Netherlands. Even though we are sad about the US run ending, we are still checking out the other World Cup games. Connor is rooting for Portugal and Argentina now.

Also, we caught a bit of a college soccer game online.

Franklin Pierce University, where Ann works, is the proud home of this year’s NCAA Division 2 Men’s Soccer Champions! They won the title game Saturday afternoon out on the west coast. They had a perfect season including a shutout win in the final game!

Sunday belonged to my daughter, Amelia.

We attended her cheer showcase in Keene. It was the first public performance for her team this season. Her first competition is this weekend at the DCU Center in Worcester!

I hope you had a good weekend!
