First off………GIANTS BABY!
Being a Giants fan has been a bit tough the past eight years. Only one playoff game since 2016. (Which they lost) Lots of forgettable head coaches, draft picks that were busts and yelling at the TV.
But Sunday night’s win was sweet. On the road too against a team that beat us during the regular season. If my wife is reading this, make no plans for this Saturday night. Me and the TV! Go Big Blue!
BTW, I watched the win at a friend’s house who had a late holiday party. It was OK. I was a polite guest. The TV was already on and one of the hosts was actively watching so I sat my you-know-what on their couch and rooted my team on. Being a bit superstitious, would it be wrong of me to invite myself over next Saturday night to somehow assure a win against the Eagles? I wonder if they would answer the door…….
Any-hoo, the three-day weekend was rather rest full. I spent lots of time looking at the birds making a stop at our home for seed and energy.
Rarely do I see a cardinal at this feeder. This one sat his behind on the tray Saturday morning and did not move for about five minutes. I wonder who was visiting me.
We have been seeing lots of woodpeckers again this year. BTW. Yesterday Connor found out what suet is and where it comes from as we were walking through the meat department at the grocery store. He was completely grossed out. Hilarious!
I had some tasty beverages this weekend.
This one is called Winter Solstice. Available while it lasts at the Outlaw Brewing Company in Winchester.
On Sunday I enjoyed a cranberry margarita!
The sugared cranberries were a nice touch.
Just about everyone I know posted a photo of the sunset on Sunday. Here is mine.
So instead of the Sunday night blues. It was the Monday night blues yesterday. Time to head back to the grind soon.
Here is one of the few moments when the world’s most energetic dog was calm, relaxed and resting. It happened last night. Somebody, write it down.
I hope you had a great weekend!
