My weekend in seven photos

Two weeks until the visit from the jolly old elf!

On Friday the kid’s school had a candle walk to mark the upcoming solstice.

Here is a helpful hint. Candles don’t give off much light! When walking through the darkness, let’s thank the inventor of the flashlight! Those were discouraged during the walk. I made it through unscathed.

On Saturday I met this guy…..

Yes, the Grinch was in town. In fact, he raided the Meet Santa event that my Kiwanis Club hosted in town. Santa was a good sport and chased off the Grinch at every opportunity.

On Saturday night I helped my friend Randy with the MC duties at the Monadnock Speedway Banquet. They gave out big trophies!

Everyone (just about) got dressed up for the night and it was awesome to acknowledge all the drivers and teams who competed at Monadnock this past season.

And look at this cool gift I got!

As some of you may know. For the first time in its history, Monadnock Speedway got repaved just after the season ended.

I got a piece of the old pavement! A piece of local racing history you might say. Ann was not impressed and thinks I should keep it at the radio station. Nope. It will prominently be displayed in our home.

Sunday breakfast included the following….

Local eggs over easy with a bit of cheddar, breakfast ham slices from Adams Farm in Athol and an everything bagel. It was delicious.

I hope you had a good weekend too!
