Morning Show

My weekend in six photos

My weekend in six photos

Welcome to May my friends! Who has a TON going on this month? Me too! May can be a busy month for many, we can get through this together……

Friday night my racing season started. Once again, I am announcing at some local racetracks along with hosting the Monadnock Speedway Checkered Flag ReportĀ on Bear Country 95.3 on Saturday mornings at 10.

Friday night I was at Claremont Speedway.

Here I am with Randy in the tower. A good night a racing, but a LONG night. Didn’t get home until midnight which rarely happens, especially when I wake up at 3AM.

Saturday Connor and I finished stacking the wood.

That is two cords right there that will get burned during the 2024-2025 heating season. I always order firewood at least a year before I need it. That way you know it is nice and seasoned.

On Saturday night we went to an art show at our local library. There were many paintings on display but this one was my favorite.

Pretty amazing how canvas, paint and a couple of brush strokes can lead to this. There are so many talented people out there. In the art category, I am certainly not one of them!

On Sunday I took another longer run to prepare for the WMASS Mother’s Day Half Marathon.

The run on Mother’s Day is a benefit for the Cancer Connection and I am proud to say that I have collected over $1000 in pledges! Many people have been giving me checks and cash, but I encourage you to use this link. My goal is $2500 in pledges!

When I got back from my run, I saw the first finch to come to the bird feeder this spring.

It was disguised perfectly with the forsythia in the background.

Ended the weekend with a sad note.

This is the light you see when you drive high-milage vehicles!

I hope you had a good weekend! -Kevin
