My weekend in six photos

Just under a week away from the WMASS Mother’s Day Half Marathon! Have you made your pledge for my run yet?

This weekend was my last chance for a long run before the half marathon, so out I went on Saturday morning. I had a companion.

So, I was about 5 miles into my run when this dog joined me and would not stop! It would not go home! I ended up taking this photo, asking a community FB page if anyone knew the dog and turning around and headed in the direction of what I thought would be the dog’s home.

Luckly the owner was on the community FB page and saw my post. She met us halfway to her house and the dog (Elvis was the dog’s name) jumped into her truck and they headed home. So did I. Long run just didn’t happen. The owner (who i am friends with on FB) made a nice contribution to my run though. You can too!

Saturday night the races returned at @Monadnock Speedway.

It was a good day of racing. They were busy at the track on Sunday too. Good to have local racing back and of course we covered it all on Saturday morning during the Checkered Flag Report.

On Sunday my Kiwanis Club had our annual Bike Rodeo. We gave away 20 bikes!

Everyone was happy!

We also had helmets and bike lights to give away.

And Matt from Outer Limits Bike and Ski in Greenfield stopped by to provide free bike tune ups.

Nice weather, outside activities all weekend long. I love this time of year!

I hope you had a good weekend too. -Kevin
