My weekend in six photos.

Already it is mid-August. Labor Day is in a couple of weeks. The Franklin County Fair will be here soon. Autumn will officially start in five weeks.

Friday night I was at Claremont Speedway, announcing the races for the evening. I really enjoy being on the microphone at these small racetracks. I have discovered that Claremont is a great spot for sunsets too.

This was about 90 minutes before sunset and unfortunately does not include Mt Ascutney in the background which makes a great setting.

On Saturday, Ann and I attend Mutts in Need where I was the guest MC. This event is one of the major fundraisers for the Franklin County Sheriff’s Dog Shelter in Turners Falls. All indications are that it was successful!

That night we were at the Outlaw Brewing Company for Rick’s Birthday Celebration which was capped off with fireworks!

On Sunday I picked my first tomato!

The variety is called Ginny’s Purple. Not the prettiest tomato!

We worked around the house on Sunday. This included installing new stairs to the shed.

Sunday ended with dinner at the Thai restaurant in Keene. Red Curry with scallops!

I hope you had a good weekend!
