My weekend in six photos

Is summer over? Not according to the temperature right now and an extended heat advisory!

I had hoped to make a quick trip to Cape Cod this weekend but plans fell through and I won’t bore you with the details. Most of our time was spent close to home and getting ready for the first day of school, which happens to be today for our kids.

I haven’t had to buy this stuff in weeks! Thankfully it was on sale. In our house, it lasts a day or two.

I can tell that Abby knows the kids were going back to school. She was a little glum all weekend.

Saturday night we had friends over for a little fire, beverages and good conversation.

I am unsure what I threw on the fire here, but the blaze was really going! This fire could have spurred the heat wave we are in now.

On Sunday, Ann and I planted some excess flowers at the Kiwanis Pavilion in town.

I know these hostas and black-eyed susans don’t look like much now but wait until this time next year!

Sunday night was spent at Claremont Motorsports Park.

That is my buddy Dave in the background as we were gathering driver information pre-race.

Yesterday was low key although I grilled a steak for dinner that I believe was cooked very close to perfection. What do you think?

I hope you had a good weekend too!
