My weekend in six photos.

We were up early for baseball on Saturday morning. Connor is on the reserve team at Keene High School. I am glad we went to Saturday’s game because his team got to play at Alumni Field at Keene High. Mostly the varsity and junior varsity teams get to play on this field. It is also the field where the Keene Swamp Bats play. But on Saturday my kid got to play on it.

Connor only got to bat once. He lined the first pitch to the 2nd baseman for a quick out. But it was a hard out. Ann graduated from high school on this field. We took Connor here as a baby to see Swamp Bat games. Now he got to play on it. Pretty cool. The game itself? Not cool. It was over after 5 innings due to the mercy rule.

Saturday afternoon I got to see some racecars over at Monadnock Speedway.

This is Zachary Zilinski of Gill with his brand-new super street car.

Connor and Amelia have their spring break this week. One of Connor’s tasks this week is to stack two cords of wood. Do you think he can do it? Tune in next week to find out.

Stacking wood is more difficult when your dog insists on being a part of the process.

I had a good run early on Sunday morning as I continue to train for the Mother’s Day Half Marathon. Just over eight and a half miles. Have you considered pledging my run? All pledge money goes to the Cancer Connection. Thanks in advance!

I rewarded myself afterwards with a tasty breakfast.

No, I did not eat the phlox plant. But the buttered bagel, omelet and bacon were scrumptious.

I hope you had a good weekend.
