My weekend in six photos

Here we go again! Suddenly it is Monday morning. An extra large cup of coffee is in my near future. Meanwhile, let’s recap the weekend.

Saturday morning I stopped by Picadilly Farm to pick up or share for this week. We have had a weekly farm share from Picadilly for many years now and we love it.

This early in the season, you get a lot of greens! There will be many salads in our future! All the produce is organic, super fresh and the farm is in our town. It doesn’t get more local than that.

Saturday night I shared the announcer duties at Monadnock Speedway with my friend Randy.

This is me interviewing Young Gun Driver Owen Zilinski of Gill. He won his second Young Gun race in a row on Saturday night. He is all of 11 years old. Already taller than me and winning races! Well done young man.

On Sunday I took Connor and Amelia to an end-of-school-year celebration at a local beach.

Not exactly a beach day and the water was pretty cold. The scenery was pretty though. This is Otter Brook State Park just north of Keene, NH. Nice spot.

On the way we had to stop and get suntan lotion, since I forgot ours at home.

Can somebody tell me why sun tan lotion is so darn expensive? $13 for two small bottles that will likely last one beach trip. What do they put in this stuff? 14 carat gold? Gasoline?

We we got home it was time to fix some the the dog’s landscaping projects.

Abby has done a great job digging holes and ruining our awesome sidewalk that was installed by the great people at Pioneer Stone Seals last year.  I take some responsibility for this. Abby’s run gives her access to this area and this dog LOVES to dig holes. As of yesterday I moved her run, filled the holes and put down new stone.

What do you think? Improvement? I know. Now we need to plant some grass. That can be a chore for another weekend!

I hope you had a relaxing time the past two days and your week goes well. – Kevin
