For the past two weeks, Ann has been hearing the commercials for the Home Free show at the Academy of Music in Northampton that was last night. Home Free bills themselves as the only country acapella group. They won the fourth season of the Sing Off on NBC back in 2013. Sunday evening shows are tough for someone who wakes up at 3AM on Mondays! But I was able to score some tickets to their Friday night show in Keene, NH at the Colonial Theater.

Honestly, I was unsure what to expect. I have never been to an acapella show before. As advertised, their voices were incredible. But I was really amazed by the opening act. Her name is Erin Kinsey. I thought she hit it out of the park. She did not sing acapella! She walked out on stage with her acoustic guitar and sang her heart out. I was really impressed. I know there are a million solo country artists out there but look for this lady to go places.

We brought Amelia to the show. She liked it. Her teacher was there helping out as a theater volunteer. Ann was able snap a photo of them with Erin.

On Saturday I played in a golf tournament for the Winchester Learning Center at the Northfield Golf Club. As always, the course was in amazing condition although there were a lot of leaves on the ground, I may have lost a dozen golf balls! I played OK, even hitting one of the best shots of my lifetime. I won’t bore you non-golf fans with the details. If you care, ask me about it the next time we talk. I prefer telling people who appreciate the game and know Northfield well. On Sunday we brought Abby to the Outlaw Brewing Company for their 3rd Annual K9 Keg Pull! For those following along at home, Abby had a poor, almost embarrassing showing last year.

Things were not going well this year.

Well, I am happy to say that due to a pocket full of treats and a small amount of entries, Abby won her division!
