MONTAGUE, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — Montague police are investigating a series of vandalism incidents targeting businesses and town-owned properties.

Several locally owned businesses and municipal buildings along Avenue A in Turners Falls were spray-painted, including the Carnegie Public Library.

Police say they have not released information about possible suspects or a motive, and it’s not yet clear how many properties were damaged.

Authorities are asking business owners whose properties were vandalized, but who have not yet reported the incidents, to contact the Montague Police Department.

The investigation is being conducted by Montague police, with assistance from the Massachusetts State Police Crime Scene Services Section.
