UPDATE– Fire on Homestead Ave in Greenfield

GREENFIELD, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — UPDATE: A fire broke out at 42 Homestead Avenue in Greenfield Wednesday just before 1 p.m. The fire was contained to a detached garage that was being used as an apartment. The fire is believed to have been caused by improper disposal of smoking materials. No injuries were reported.

A structure fire has been reported on Homestead Avenue in Greenfield. This story will be updated as information becomes available.
