Brush fire breaks out on both sides of 202 in New Salem

NEW SALEM, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — A large first alarm brush fire broke out on both sides of Route 202/Daniel Shays Highway in New Salem Tuesday afternoon. Crews came from Orange, Shutesbury, Athol, Montague, Warwick, Wendall and more to assist in containing the large brush fire.
