BOSTON, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — Federal student loan changes are set to take effect on July 1st. The changes are related to borrowing limits and repayment plans. Starting next month, the only option for repayment assistance will be the Repayment Assistance Plan basing monthly payments on adjusted gross income. Existing borrowers who have already graduated will maintain access to older repayment programs, but they sign up for them before to July 1st.
