CHARLEMONT, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — Charlemont is seeking to implement a 3% local tax on commercial recreational activities to fund emergency services and other costs associated with the visitors.

Residents voted in favor of the local tax in a previous Town Meeting, now the Recreation Tax has reached the Joint Committee on Revenue and written testimony is currently being accepted through March 20th.
