Federal St. gaining momentum with educational goals

GREENFIELD, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — Greenfield’s Federal Street Elementary School has met or exceeded 83% of the goals set for them by the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE), according to Principal Kelly Halpin.

This is a significant growth from 2023 when the school met or exceeded only 15% of their goals and in 2024 when they met or exceeded 62% of the DESE goals.

In 2025 every goal related to chronic absenteeism and math were exceeded by the school.
