GREENFIELD, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — The first snowstorm of the season has dumped several inches of the white stuff in the area and has caused significant problems on local roadways.

Numerous spinouts and vehicles off the road have been reported, as well as a multiple vehicle crash in Whately on State Road at the I-91 bridge.

In Turners Falls, three vehicles were reported stuck on Turnpike Road, unable to navigate the hill.

Route 10 in Northfield was closed to traffic at the New Hampshire state line, as a tractor trailer was stuck on Manning Hill in Winchester earlier this afternoon.

The Winter Storm Warning remains in effect in the area through 7:00 Wednesday morning.
