Five patients brought to Athol Hospital after major accident

ORANGE, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — Five individuals were brought to Athol Hospital after a multiple vehicle accident at approximately 11 a.m. Saturday morning on New Athol Road in the area of Hamshaw Lumber.

One of the five individuals brought to Athol Hospital was transported by Life Flight to a trauma center and an additional person refused transport to the hospital.

New Athol Road was temporarily closed for nearly an hour following the incident.
