GREENFIELD, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — Greenfield City Council is expected to vote on a resolution this evening that would voice the city’s support of legislation and a ballot petition proposing rent control measures in Massachusetts.

The legislation would allow municipalities to opt in to rent control measures, while the petition would be a statewide limit on rent increases. Both have exceptions for owner-occupied dwellings and other circumstances.
