Land Court upholds rejection of battery energy storage bylaw in Wendell

WENDELL, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — Massachusetts Land Court has upheld the decision of the Attorney General to reject the battery energy storage bylaw in Wendell that was crafted by the No Assault & Batteries group. The proposed bylaw was heavily voted in favor of by Wendell residents in the May 2024 Special Town Meeting, however the Attorney General found it to be lacking procedural safeguards.
