Shutesbury Athletic Club to pay out 93K in backpay and damages

SHUTESBURY, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — The Shutesbury Athletic Club has been ordered to pay $93,000 in damages and back pay to former bartender and manager, Thomas Siefert, after Siefert filed complaints in 2020 alleging sex and sexual orientation discrimination and then retaliation in 2021. The Athletic Club is planning to file an appeal to the decision.
