UMass researchers find new mRNA research strategies

AMHERST, MA (FRANKLIN COUNTY NOW) — Researchers at UMass Amherst have pinpointed a method for studying mRNA, the messenger for DNA, in cells.

Using an innovative three-color method for capturing images of mRNA, it codes the disparate pieces with different colors allowing chemists to study the movements and potential places to turn on or off specific genes.
